After School Program
Forty elementary school children the ages of five to twelve years participate in before and after school child care. This Nursery service provides participating school-age children with homework assistance, art projects and recreational activities. In the summer, children also learn through sports and outdoor play activities as well as field trips.
When schools are in session, children are escorted by Nursery staff to and from Chicago Public Schools located in the vicinity of the Nursery. As a result, requests to participate in the North Avenue Day Nursery School-Age Day Care Program are substantial.
